This is a tricky question because this type of relationship likely violates the Attorney's Code of Ethics. An unscrupulous attorney may be game for such a set up, but a lawyer who plays by the rules won't.

Since an attorney is not a healthcare professional, it is unethical for them to make a professional referral to a client for any type of medical provider. They cannot say that a person needs or would benefit from massage. That's what Primary Care Providers do - not lawyers.

And they certainly shouldn't be forming exclusive relationships with healthcare providers and funneling clients to them.

For this reason, I only network with other healthcare providers in my local area. Referrals should be based on serving the best interests of our clients/patients, not on potential financial gain.
